Saguenay's downtown areas
In 2006, Saguenay began renewing its five downtown areas and several million dollars have been and will be invested. These downtown areas are abound with shops of all kinds, in addition to professional and public services.
Saguenay has 7 major commercial conduits:
- Boulevard Talbot
- Boulevard du Royaume
- Boulevard Saint-Paul
- Boulevard Saint-François
- Boulevard Harvey
- Boulevard René-Lévesque
- Rue Bagot
These 7 commercial conduits include, in addition to others, two major shopping centres in Saguenay located along Boulevard Talbot in Chicoutimi and Boulevard du Royaume in Jonquière, respectively. Several big box stores are located along the 7 axial highways.
